工签 Work Permit
加拿大工签分为开放式和封闭式两种，开放式工签指的是可以为任何雇主工作，换雇主不需要通知移民局。封闭式工签只能为指定雇主从事指定的工作，换雇主、换工作都需要办理额外的手续。
There are two types of Canadian work permits: open work permit and closed work permit. An open work permit means that you can work for any employer, and you do not need to notify the IRCC if you change employers. A closed work permit can only perform a designated job for a designated employer, and additional procedures are required for changing employers.

Post-Graduation Work Permits (PGWPs) are for international students who have graduated from a Canadian Designated Learning Institution (DLI). PGWPs are open work permits, meaning that they grant foreign nationals the freedom to work for any employer, anywhere in Canada. It will help the students to gain valuable Canadian work experience. Work obtained through the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program may help support your application to become a permanent resident of Canada. Normally, spouse work permit is valid for the same amount of time that your spouse or common-law partner’s work permit or study permit is valid. The validity period of the work visa for the spouse of the reunion immigrant is usually 2 years.

The Closed Work Permit is the opposite of the open work permit, which requires the holder to work for a designated employer in Canada and engage in a designated job. Under normal circumstances, the applicant can only submit the closed work permit application after the employer has completed the Labor Market Impact Assessment. Regarding to LMIA, please refer to the “Employer Services” category.

The Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) allows foreign nationals who are currently working in Canada to extend their status while awaiting a decision on their permanent residency application. The BOWP is only available to those who have submitted a permanent residency application and are already in possession of a valid work permit.

由于加拿大很多大学或学院提供附带有 “带薪实习” 的课程项目 Co-operative Education，实习工作属于学习的一部分，因此在实习学期，学生可以全职为学校指定的雇主工作并领取薪金。实习工签的有效期通常与学习许可有效期一致。
Some study programs include work experience as part of their curriculum. Therefore, during the internship semester, students can work full-time for the employer designated by the school and receive a salary. The validity period of the internship work permit is usually the same as the validity period of the study permit.
基本条件：
- 必须持有有效学签；
- 所从事的全职工作范围必须是学习项目的必要组成部分；
- 工作作为学习的一部分必须获得学校的官方认可；
- 实习工作占比不能超过学习项目的 50%；
注：学习英语、法语作为第二语言及预备课程不能申请实习工签；
实习工签和学签自带校外工作许可的相关说明：
从 2022 年 11 月 15 日到 2023 年 12 月 31 日，如果满足以下所有条件，则不需要申请实习工签：
- 在 2022 年 10 月 7 日或之前递交了学签申请，并已下发；
- 学签显示已授权校外工作资质;
- 临时政策变更的受益者，允许在上课期间每周工作 20 小时以上;
- 实习课程将于 2023 年 12 月 31 日结束;
如果实习课程在 2023 年 12 月 31 日之后结束，或者申请人不符合临时政策变更的条件，则申请人需要申请实习工签以涵盖该日期之后的时期。 在获得实习工签前，申请人可以开始实习。

Minimum requirement:
- You have a valid study permit;
- You are required to work in order to complete your study program in Canada;
- You have a letter from your school that confirms all students in your program need to complete work placements to get their degree;
- Your co-op placement or internship totals 50% or less of your study program;
NOTE: You aren’t eligible for a co-op work permit if you’re taking one of the following:
- English or French as a second language (ESL/FSL),
- general interest courses, or
- courses to prepare for another study program.
Note for Co-op work permits and off-campus work authorization:
From November 15, 2022, to December 31, 2023, you may not need to apply for a co-op work permit. You don’t need a co-op work permit to complete your co-op placement if you meet all of the following conditions:
- You have a valid study permit and we received your application for this study permit on or before October 7, 2022;
- Your study permit shows that you’re authorized to work off campus;
- You’re eligible to benefit from the temporary policy change to work more than 20 hours per week while class is in session;
- Your co-op placement ends by December 31, 2023;
If your co-op placement ends after December 31, 2023, or if you aren’t eligible for the temporary policy change, you need to apply for a co-op work permit to cover the period after that date. You can begin your co-op placement during this period before you’re issued the permit. Any other employment you have won’t be affected.

工签持有人的签证延期：
如果您持有的工作许可即将到期或您的状态改变，您需要至少在目前工签到期30天前申请延长或改变签证状态。
注意：延长日期必须在护照到期日前。
LMIA工作许可延期
如果符合以下条件，则您可以申请延长或更改工作许可：
- 您的工作延期
- 您目前工作发生改变，比如：您想为一个新的雇主工作；
在获得新的LMIA工作许可之前，您不能开始从事其他工作或为新雇主工作。
开放工签
如果您持开放工签，只要仍有具有持开放工签在加拿大工作的资格，就可以延长。
Extension for work permit holders:
If your work permit is about to expire or your status changes, you need to apply for an extension or change of status at least 30 days before your current work permit expires.
Note: The extension date must be before the passport expiration date.
LMIA Designated Employer Work Permit
You can apply to extend or change your work permit if:
- your work extension
- Changes to your current job, such as: you want to work for a new employer
You cannot start another job or work for a new employer until you have a new LMIA work permit.
Extension for open work permit
If you are on an open work permit, you can extend it as long as you are still eligible to work in Canada on your open work permit.
