在加拿大就读的国际留学生需持有两份签证，分别为学习签证（Study Permit），也称学习许可和大签，以及入境签证（Visa），俗称小签。持有学习签证即持有加拿大的合法有效临时身份，可以在加拿大合法的读书与生活。在获得学习签证Study Visa后，登陆加拿大时会通过海关换发学习许可Study Permit，通常会由加拿大海关人员钉在护照上，上面会显示学签到期日，学签持有者必须在这个到期日前离开加拿大，或者提交续签申请、毕业工签的申请。
学签申请 Study Permit
学习签证是证明该留学生具有加拿大读书资格的凭证。无论是想在加拿大就读语言学校、大学、College，或需要在当地逗留6个月以上的留学生都必须申请学习签证。学习签证过期要续签。国际学生在符合移民法的前提下可以打工；留学生毕业后申请移民比其他人有很大的优势；留学生的家长可以申请陪读签证；配偶也可以申请学习签证或工作签证来加拿大。
A study permit is a provement that proves that the international student has the eligibility to study in Canada. Whether you want to study in a language school, university, or college in Canada, or you need to stay in Canada for more than 6 months, you must apply for a study permit. The study permit must be renewed after it expires. International students can work under the premise of complying with the immigration law; international students have a great advantage over others in applying for immigration after graduation; parents of international students can apply for visitor visa; spouses can also apply for his/her study permit or work permit to come to Canada.
14岁 至 79 岁的人在申请以下签证时必须提供他们的生物识别信息：
- 临时居民签证 (TRV)
- 延长作为临时居民留在加拿大的授权
- 临时居留许可 (TRP)
- 恢复临时居民身份
- 工作许可证或工作许可证的续签
- 学习许可或续签学习许可
- 永久居民签证
- 加拿大境内的庇护申请（无年龄上限）
- 海外难民重新安置申请
有资格申请电子旅行授权的人如果以游客身份前往加拿大，则无需提供生物识别信息。
The following people between the ages of 14 and 79 must provide their biometrics:
temporary residence applicants who are applying for:
a temporary resident visa (TRV)
an extension of authorization to remain in Canada as a temporary resident
a temporary resident permit (TRP)
a restoration of temporary resident status
a work permit or renewal of a work permit
a study permit or renewal of a study permit
permanent residence applicants who are applying for:
a permanent resident visa
a request to remain in Canada as a permanent resident
a new permanent resident card for the first time in cases where they were exempt from biometrics enrolment because they were under the age of 14 years at the time of their application
refugee protection claimants who are applying for:
an in-Canada asylum claim (no upper age limit)
an overseas refugee resettlement claim
People who are eligible to apply for an electronic travel authorization are not required to provide their biometrics if they are travelling to Canada as a tourist.

学签续签 Study Permit Renewal
首次持入境签 Entry Visa留学加拿大的同学，在过海关时会办理学习许可 Study Permit（学签）。学习许可上会清晰标注到期时间，留学生必须在该期限到期前申请续签延期、毕业后工签或离镜。一般以下三种情况需要申请学习许可延期，又称 “学签续签”：
- 因护照有效期等客观因素导致原学签时间较短，即将过期；
- 因诸如：休学、挂科、罢工等因素导致需要比原先学签有效期更长的时间才能完成学业；
- 原预期的学习项目已经完成，希望继续学习一个新的项目。可适用于：平行转学、升学、甚至倒读；
Students who study in Canada with an Entry Visa for the first time will get their Study Permit from CBSA. The expiry date will be clearly marked on the study permit, and international students must apply for renewal, post-graduation work permit or leave Canada before the expiry date. Generally, the following three situations need to apply for an extension of the study permit, also known as “study permit renewal”:
- Due to objective factors such as the validity period of the passport, the original study visa has a short period of time and is about to expire;
- Due to factors such as: suspension of studies, failing courses, strikes and other factors, it takes longer than the original validity period of the study permit to complete the studies;
- The expected study program has been completed, and you want to continue to study a new program, such as Parallel transfer, further studies, and even backward reading;
需要注意的是，如果您需要办理学签续签，安可移民建议您在签证到期前三个月开始准备办理续签。如果签证过期，从过期日开始算起90天内我们虽然可以帮助您做身份恢复申请，但是您将额外缴纳$200加币的政府费用，处理时间会比单纯的学签续签要长。
Note:If you need to apply for renewal of your study permit, Anchor services recommends that you start preparing for renewal three months before your study permit expires. If your study permit expires, although we can help you apply for status restoration within 90 days from the expired date, you will pay an additional government fee of $200 Canadian dollars, and the processing time will be longer than simply renewing the student permit.

境内申请 Apply Inside Canada
加拿大移民局规定只有以下情况的人才可以在加拿大境内递交学签申请：
- 持有效的学习或工作许可（可能面临学签到期）；
- 配偶、同居伴侣或父母持有有效的学习或工作许可；
- 小学或中学的未成年孩子；
- 交换生或访问学生；
- 完成了 DLI 接受的短期课程或学习计划；
- 申请人或者申请人的配偶、同居伴侣或受抚养子女持有有效期为 6 个月或更长时间的临时居民许可证 (TRP)；
- 被担保移民并且您已经申请了永久居留权（如果您有资格）；
- 申请人或者申请人的配偶、同居伴侣或受抚养子女受到无法执行的驱逐令的约束；
- 申请人是以下人士的配偶、同居伴侣或受抚养子女：
- 加拿大某队的运动员；
- 媒体人士；
- 神职人员；
- 在加拿大执行任务的武装人员；
- 经认可的外国代表
Only the following people can submit a study permit application in Canada:
这里我们重点看下第五点（ you completed a short-term course or study program required to be accepted at a DLI），即已经完成了一个短期课程（在这个短期课程中所获得的成绩符合了专业课录取的要求），并收到了DLI院校所发出的录取通知书的申请人。 所以，大家常说的旅转学也就是这种情况，这也是为什么即使是语言成绩比较好的申请人通常也要在加拿大境内读少于6个月的语言课程的原因，否则无法在加拿大境内递交学签。当然，有些申请人的语言达不到专业课录取要求也不得不学习一段时间语言课！
Here let’s focus on the fifth point (you completed a short-term course or study program required to be accepted at a DLI), that is, you have completed a short-term course (the grades obtained in this short-term course meet the requirements for professional course admission requirements) and have received an admission letter from a DLI institution. Therefore, it is often said that this is the case of travel transfer, which is why even applicants with better language scores usually have to study language courses in Canada for less than 6 months, otherwise they cannot submit in Canada study permit. Of course, some applicants whose language skills do not meet the admission requirements of professional courses have to study language courses for a period of time!
